DIRT TRACK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RETURNS TO WVMS FOR $100,000-TO-WIN FINALE!

MINERAL WELLS, WV — The biggest day in Dirt Late Model racing is coming back to the Mountain State, where a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion will be crowned and $100,000 will go to the race winner.

The 46th Annual Dirt Track World Championship will take center stage at West Virginia Motor Speedway October 15-17, 2026, bringing the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the nation’s best Super Late Model drivers to the hills of West Virginia for a three-day racing spectacle capped by a staggering $100,000-to-win championship finale.

For decades, the Dirt Track World Championship has been one of the most prestigious events in American dirt racing. Its list of champions reads like a who’s who of the sport, and on October 17, another driver will etch his name into that history.

The DTWC has become a fall tradition where championships are decided, careers are defined and legends are made. Now, West Virginia Motor Speedway will provide the backdrop. With the hills surrounding the speedway beginning to turn into the brilliant colors of autumn, fans from across the country will make their annual pilgrimage to West Virginia for three days of racing, camping and everything that makes Dirt Late Model racing special.

And when the green flag falls Saturday night, the stakes couldn’t be higher. $100,000. One winner. One Dirt Track World Champion.

The weekend will feature a full slate of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition, giving teams multiple opportunities to tune their machines for the biggest race of the weekend. The intensity will build throughout Friday and Saturday before the field returns Saturday night for the championship showdown.
