WVMS Compact House Car Under Construction at Newfast Motorsports!
SCDRA Legal Compact Will Be Raffled Off On October 9th!
(Middlebourne, WV) – It was unveiled back in December that West Virginia Motor Speedway would be raffling off their own compact (4-cylinder) house car in 2021. The exciting news puts the general public in the driver seat to win an awesome opportunity at turning laps on the Worlds Fastest Dirt Track.
The 2021 Speedplant Compact House Car is currently under construction with tickets going on sale at the season opener. West Virginia Motor Speedway officially kicks off its schedule on Sunday April 25th with the already released “Return” event paying $8,000 to win for Valvoline Iron-Man Super Late Model teams and $2,000 to win for the Steel Block Late Model Series. The event showcases the Speedplant for the first time since 2013.
Tickets will be available all season long leading up to a front stretch drawing at ‘RaceFest’. RaceFest features a $2,500 to win Northeast SCDRA special for the compact division. Chances at the compact will accompany the car as it sits along the main midway area during the season and are just $5 per ticket. One lucky winner will take home the compact and earn a guaranteed starting spot on Saturday Oct. 9th if he/she chooses to compete.
The ‘compact of today’ is a solidly built SCDRA legal, Chevy Cavalier, being assembled proudly by track supporter Newfast Motorsports from Massillon, Ohio. Newfast Motorsports is owned by Wayne Newberry whose dedication to the sport has granted success over than span of twenty four seasons in the racing industry. Newberry perfected his craft while working at Swartz Racecars throughout the years where the now the owner of ‘Newfast’ has quickly become one of the premier race teams in the Northeast.
Newfast Motorsports amazing track record speaks for itself. Boasting many feature wins and championships; participants can rest assured their purchase of a raffle ticket (has a chance) to put them in the driver seat of a truly competitive compact. Wayne also looks forward to involvement in both the SCDRA Northeast and SCDRA in 2021 offering up one thousand dollars to the point champion of both compact series. The strong commitment shows his love for the compact class and is evident in his craftsmanship on our 2021 Compact House Car.
Partners have stepped up to support the car and are excited to see their name on the side of a future star. An E.C.M. from TBG Tuned operated by Gerrot Jacobson of Mason City, Iowa has been donated as well as a Cavalier / circle track applicable hub from D&D Safety Hub.
