Kick Your Family Day Into Overdrive With Demo Derby, Monster Trucks, Fireworks & Live Music, July 24th!
(Mineral Wells, WV) We’re just over two weeks away from jaw dropping, car crunching, mini-van jumping, pyro shooting, music singing action at West Virginia Motor Speedway. A family friendly afternoon of activity is planned starting at 4pm. Thomas Motorsports will start DirtVana off with a bang featuring two classes of demolition derby cars competing for hefty cash prizes. A grassroots good time is GUARANTEED!
In addition, six of the worlds best Monster Trucks will be tuning up their 2000 horsepower engines for FREESTYLE and drag racing competition inside the Worlds Fastest Dirt Track! Witness world record holder Joey Sylvester in Bad Habit plus Samson, Nitemare Express, War Wizard, Black Stallion and fan favorite Higher Education (School Bus Themed Truck) spare nothing as they jump and crush their way to an Outlaw Monster Truck championship. Plus, four Pro-Mod trucks will also be in attendance to drag their way to victory and a full size “RIDE ALONG” truck will be offering paid rides.
But wait, that’s not all! We’ve gone over-budget as one of the most skilled fireworks technicians in the world will be at West Virginia Motor Speedway to light up the sky with colorful fireworks for the whole family. Pyrotechnics are planned throughout the event including a ‘grand finale’ that would even make Joe Dirt proud. Grab your kids and come early to ensure you don’t miss any of the show.
WVMS will open all gates for the event at 1pm. The Thunder Alley Experience begins at 3pm featuring an up close look at the trucks and a driver meet n’ greet. Our friendly outlaws of monster truck competition invite you to come pit side for this ultra-cool pre-race show, FREE, as part of your ALL-ACCESS tickets! Demolition Derby starts at 4pm, Monster Trucks at 6pm and the band Ducain kicks off our post-freestyle festivities at 8:00pm. An adult after party is planned as Moonshine Bandits take the stage to perform live at 9:45pm.
