(Middlebourne, WV) – West Virginia Motor Speedway under the direction of WVMS Promotions, LLC is excited to announce its highly anticipated 2021 schedule of events! The schedule features a special events selection of racing action from April to October. Ten total race nights make up the card highlighted by three major race weekends. Race fans have already marked several dates on their calendars as part of social media releases but many more great events also headline the 2021 season.
 
West Virginia Motor Speedway officially kicks off its come back on Sunday April 25th with the already released “Return” event paying $8,000 to win for Super Late Model teams and $2,000 to win for the Steel Block Late Model Series. As an added bonus the event will also feature the debut “Iron Man” Northern Late Model Tour! The event showcases the Speedplant for the first time since 2010. (Note Date Change) to accommodate national touring, Iron-Man series and area/tv schedules.
 
On Saturday May 22nd, Aaron Fry’s “Fast on Dirt” 410 Sprint Cars invade for a massive $10,000 payday with the “Mountaineer Nationals”. The biggest names in the East are marking the calendars as anticipation builds for the tracks record breaking speeds. Joining the card will be the fan favorite UMP Modified division paying $1,000 to win.
 
The biggest Late Model event of the season takes place on June 4th and 5th as the speedway launches its all-new and premier event, The “Historic 100”. The “Historic 100” will witness Late Model racings brightest stars on both Friday and Saturday night running two complete shows for a combined opportunity at $40,000 to win! For the first time in 2021 the strong field of RWT Sport Mods will visit for a pair of feature events with Saturdays finale paying $2,000 to win.
 
The Super Late Model world returns on Sunday July 4th in honor of the late Mark Balzano. The holiday weekend invitational will feature a $5,001 to win main event for Super Lates as well as a hefty $5,000 to win payday for the American Crate All-Star Series. The ACAS will roll into town with a broad tire rule that allowing competitors from not only their Crate racing organization but neighboring Fastrak, Rush and others for a huge duel on the highbanks. Fans will also be treated to a massive fireworks display.
 
In addition to racing activities, a “Dirt/Mud” style event dubbed DirtVana will take place on Saturday July 24th. The one day deal will swing open its gates at 10am featuring a Mudtruck/Bog Speed Pit and ATV Drags. Also in action will be the ultra-cool Outlaw Monster Truck Drags led by, Bad Habit, among others. The event is a must attend for outdoor enthusiasts that concludes with a LIVE concert!
 
WVMS hosts its largest 410 Sprint show of the year, a major weekend with a familiar name. The “World Race of Champions” which started in 1986 becomes the new showcase for Sprints at the Speedplant. The event rolls off on Friday and Saturday August 6th and 7th. The two day Sprint spectacular will feature a pair of complete shows with Fridays winner earning $5,000 and Saturday’s special paying $20,000 to win. In addition, top Renegade of Dirt Modified teams will be competing for a five figure weekend paycheck of $10,000 to win, one of the Easts biggest mod events of the year! It will be family fun for all ages on Saturday August 28th at the Speedplant. The Monster Truck Racing League invades with the likes of Xtermigator, Wolfs Head, Muddy Girl and Backdraft. The roster includes national trucks ready to rip up the course for freestyle competition. A motocross freestyle exhibition is also on the docket, plus a huge backpack and bike giveaway is planned for the youth in attendance.
 
Music go-ers can celebrate as well! On September 10th and 11th, WVMS will open its gates for a national country concert dubbed, Renegade Rebellion. The first of the two days (Friday evening) will witness a campground launch party with local bands while Saturday the action moves over to the main stage. West Virginia Motor Speedways fall slate of racing action features three must see events. On Saturday September 18th the speedway will host the Super Late Model and Sprint Car classes on the same night for the only time on the season. The inaugural “Riverhawk Rumble” displays the two premier divisions in a pair of $3,000 to win specials as well as showcasing Tyler County Speedways popular Hotmod division for its only appearance of the season.
 
Race fans will be treated to an incredible fall classic event at the speedway as the fan favorite “RaceFest” weekend takes place on Friday & Saturday October 8th and 9th. The ULMS & Iron-Man Super Late Model series will co-sanction the event at the Worlds Fastest Dirt Track for a solid $5,000 to win on Friday. On Saturday the prime time division takes center stage for a $15,000 dollar payday. RaceFest not only displays the full fendered division but boasts a solid slate of support divisions anxious to turn the final laps of the season on the ‘Speedplant’. UMP Modifieds, Sport Mods and Steel Blocks will roll into the speedway for a two day weekend featuring heat races on Friday night and three $1,500 to win features on Saturday respectively. In addition, the Northeast SCDRA Compacts will visit for a $2,500 to win payday spanning both paydays with qualifying on Friday and their feature events on Saturday.
