World of Outlaws Return to WVMS for RACEFEST Summer Championship June 12–13!

(Mineral Wells, WV) The stars of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series are headed back to West Virginia Motor Speedway for one of the most anticipated dirt racing events in the region as RACEFEST Summer Championship roars into the new #ActionEra on Friday and Saturday, June 12–13.

For the first time in more than a decade, the World of Outlaws Late Models return to WVMS for two complete nights of premier dirt late model racing action, bringing the nation’s top drivers to Mineral Wells for a massive weekend featuring more than $42,000 in Super Late Model winnings alone.

Friday night’s opener features a full World of Outlaws program highlighted by a 40-lap, $12,000-to-win main event. The excitement builds into Saturday night’s RACEFEST finale, where the best dirt late model racers in America will battle for a huge $30,000 payday in the 60-lap championship feature.

Joining the World of Outlaws throughout the weekend will be UMP Modifieds and USMPA Sport Mods, while Pro Late Models compete on Friday night and Street Stocks take center stage on Saturday.

The event marks a historic moment for WVMS as the newly redesigned 1/3-mile clay configuration welcomes the Outlaws back to the Mountain State’s biggest stage. The revamped layout has transformed WVMS into a premier short-track destination built for intense side-by-side racing and the high-energy atmosphere fans have come to expect during the new #ACTIONERA at the speedway.

Camping and fan activities will once again play a major role in the RACEFEST experience. Campgrounds open Monday, June 8 at 10 a.m., with primitive camping available throughout the week. Reserved Creekside camping spots are currently on sale, while pitside camping will be available upon arrival during race week.

Whether camping or staying close by, RACEFEST is sure to be your wildest weekend of the summer. Fans can purchase advance two-day tickets online, including General Admission and Pit Pass packages, with children 10 and under admitted free to General Admission both nights. Kids 3 & under are FREE to the pit area. Two day GA passes are just $70 in advance while pit passes are only $80 for both days.

Past RACEFEST winners include some of the biggest names in dirt late model history, including Scott Bloomquist, Jimmy Owens, Josh Richards, Jackie Boggs, Steve Lucas, Earl Pearson Jr., Steve Shaver and Devin Moran.

The new backstretch bleachers will make their awaited debut just in time for the biggest event of the summer. Over 4500 new aluminum seats will welcome guests with a new look midway behind the bleachers. In addition, the facility has added all new PA speakers to a louder, stadium style audio system.
