WVMS To Showcase SCDRA Compacts in 2023, $12,000 to win JWE Remodeling “Northeast Nationals” Added June 2nd & 3rd!
(Mineral Wells, WV) – West Virginia Motor Speedway is proud to announce that in conjunction with the SCDRA Northeast Series and event sponsor JWE Remodeling & Roofing it will host the series highest paying event in 2023. Rockville, PA’s Chris Anderson won the SCDRA NE series 2021 visit to WVMS while local runner Patrick Willbarger won the lone SCDRA event in 2022 at the track.
The JWE Remodeling SCDRA “Northeast Nationals” will be held, June 2nd & 3rd at West Virginia Motor Speedway paying $12,000 to the winner with over $30,000 in total purse for SCDRA Northeast Compacts. The $30,000+, $12,000 to win purse could jump to $15,000 to win and nearly $35,000 in purse if more than 100 cars are in attendance. A feat, SCDRA promoter Rob Williams says is achievable with teams coming from as far as Florida, Maine, the Carolinas and beyond.
“We are exited to return to West Virginia Motor Speedway and can’t thank Cody Watson and his team at WVMS enough for the opportunity to have huge payday for the SCDRA Northeast series and the compact class as a whole. We look forward to a great weekend of racing featuring the best FWD style race cars in the country” stated Rob Williams of SCDRA.
The event is being sponsored by Jeff Erb of JWE Remodeling & Roofing located in Hanover, PA. A leader in exterior and interior remodeling and roofing services which specializes in storm repair. “I want to thank Jeff Erb for partnering with WVMS and allowing us to make this such a big event for the class” stated Cody Watson of WVMS.
“The SCDRA class has been very supportive of our facility since our reopening and we can’t wait to reward them with this huge event in front of the Lucas Oil Series crowd” added Watson. “The class has put on great racing each time we’ve welcomed them which makes it really exciting for our fans that we can bring in around 100 of the best teams in the country to put on a show at the Speedplant” concluded Watson.
The event will take the green on Friday June 2nd featuring a preliminary night that includes group hotlaps and time trials preceded by heat race action. Then, Saturday June 3rd teams will compete in an order of B-Mains followed by the 35 Lap $12,000+ to win JWE Remodeling & Roofing “Northeast Nationals” A-Main. The event entry fee is $125.
