RACEFEST SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIP DELIVERS BIG-TIME EXCITEMENT AT WEST VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY!

MINERAL WELLS, WV — RaceFest Summer Championship delivered a memorable weekend of dirt track racing as the World of Outlaws Late Models returned to West Virginia Motor Speedway for the first time in 13 years. Fans from across the region packed the facility to witness two nights of thrilling competition on the speedway’s new 3/8-mile clay oval, creating an electric atmosphere that showcased the continued resurgence of one of dirt racing’s most iconic venues.

Beyond on-going track improvements, the highlight of the weekend was the exceptional racing surface prepared by Chad Bauman, Mackie Flood, and Blade Kerns. Their efforts had the new West Virginia Motor Speedway in prime condition throughout the event, producing multiple grooves, side-by-side battles, and frequent three-wide racing that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Drivers praised the track’s smooth and ‘racey’ surface, while spectators were treated to countless slide jobs and dramatic moments that have become synonymous with racing in the new #ActionEra at WVMS.

World of Outlaws competition headlined both evenings, with Bobby Pierce capturing the RaceFest opener before Tyler Erb scored the victory in Saturday’s $30,000-to-win finale. The supporting divisions provided plenty of excitement as well. Kenny Johnson and JP Roberts claimed UMP Modified victories, while Nick Parson and Kendall Hodge earned Sport Mod triumphs. AJ Spagnuolo captured the Pro Late Model feature, and Barry Fairbanks raced to victory in the Street Stock division. Strong car counts and competitive racing throughout the pit area further demonstrated the growing momentum surrounding West Virginia Motor Speedway.

RaceFest Summer Championship represented another major step forward for the historic Mineral Wells facility as fans, teams, sponsors, and staff came together for a showcase event worthy of the West Virginia racing community. With the successful return of the World of Outlaws, outstanding track conditions, and an unforgettable atmosphere throughout the weekend, the future remains bright as West Virginia Motor Speedway continues building toward even bigger events ahead, including the return of the Hillbilly 100 and the Dirt Track World Championship later this season.
